Site News: Anonymous Commenting Disabled

I've made a small change to the way commenting works. You will no longer be able to comment on PsyBlog anonymously. Instead you'll need to log in with either a Google or Blogger account or use an OpenID account. OpenID is a "free and easy way to use a single digital identity across the internet". It's open access, free for companies and individuals and you can use it at loads of different sites.
The reason for this is simply so that we can talk to each other here without continually referring to 'anonymous #3' or some other clumsy form of address. Also it makes things a little more personal which I think is a bonus.
Hopefully this won't curb your commenting too much because I think this is such a valuable part of PsyBlog.
As ever, let me know what you think...

"let me know what you think..."
And now only the non-anonymous can say what they think.
Hi Bitten, well you can email me anonymously if you like.
Where are the smiley faces? :)
I think it is a good idea.
For me, at some level there is definitely a greater significance to something I might read if it has a name after it.
If I read a comment by "anonymous" then I find myself immediately wondering "So why is this person anonymous? What are they afraid of? etc. etc." - all of which tends to draw my attention away from what they may be actually trying to say.
