		<description>Good article ... but it assumes that &quot;courage&quot; is an attribute or disposition of the individual rather than the situation.  Many who study &quot;courage&quot; describe it as the courageous act rather than the courageous actor.  By linking &quot;courage&quot; to personality traits, you are implicitly (if not explicitly) implying that those who do not have those traits need not apply for &quot;courage.&quot;  That would be sad it true.  It may be better to think or courage as a phasic rather than tonic phenomenon ....</description>
