Women are more academic and in a fair number of jobs, IQ is an indicator of success.

However aspects like bias pay against women, most women choose to pretend its doesn't happen.

I think generally this kind of research has more negative than postive implications.

No! What the study would seem to indicate is that the current generation of women (14 year olds) are equall in intelligence to men. In older generations there is an increasing discrepancy in favor of men. This could be quite possibly due to differential social pressures and educational opportunities.
Also intelligence as measure on a test is a pretty wierd thing and not necessarily linked to anything very useful. I read once that a man put his baby in its cot on the roof of his car and drove off forgetting it was there. Can you imagine a woman doing that?
